April 6 & 7 - Mazeppa, MN - Lita Hottel - Reining, Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail
Lita Hottel is passionate about horses and draws from her judging experience with the NVRHA, AQHA, NRHA and 15 other associations to join us for this event. Her involvement includes versatility, western pleasure, ranch riding, reining, trail and showmanship. Her ability to communicate, her skill at involving all participants and gentle horse friendly techniques are used to help you teach your equine companion. She has conducted clinics and judged shows throughout the world. You will not want to miss this event!

April 27 & 28 - Racine, MN - Doug Jordan - HALL OF FAME CUTTING TRAINER AND NATURAL HORSEMAN
Doug’s Equine Performance Partnership Clinics are held across the United States and abroad. Events and clinics are open to riders and horses of all levels, novice to advance. During clinics, Doug focuses on each participant to evaluate their individual challenges and goals and then works to help each horse and rider team progress towards their goal. Students will learn how to put purpose to their horsemanship
through cutting. Whether you are a seasoned cutting competitor or a beginner to the sport, Doug can help you improve. Learn how to use the flag to teach your horse to be a better partner and improve your horse's responsiveness. Topics often include directing the parts of the horse, how to simplify cues, working with bothered horses, creating a positive change, and forming a connection to the flag.

June 1 - River Falls, WI - Ranch Riding & Reining with Jennifer Bull and Roping with Marie-Anne Deiss
This clinic will focus on the horsemanship skills necessary for the Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, and Working Ranch classes included in the National Versatility Ranch Horse Clinic / Schooling Competitions. Emphasis will be placed on improving your horsemanship skills by helping your horse become more soft and responsive as you learn the maneuvers that comprise these classes. NVRHA Roping: learn rope handling skills and practice tracking and roping the calf dummy on skies. Even if you are not ready to compete in the roping, the roping part of the clinic will help prepare you for when you are ready, as well as improve your score on the roping obstacle in the trail class. Members of Northern Lights will be on hand to answer questions as you meet new participants in a relaxed, casual setting. This clinic will be limited to 12 Riders to ensure quality instruction. (The participants will be split into two groups of six.) If you are unable to bring your horse, NLVRHA welcomes complimentary auditing. Please bring a lunch, no lunch will be served.
