Jay grew up the son of a working ranch cowboy. He began training horses after he graduated from high school. He and his wife Gena are part of NVRHA because of they believe its events showcase the talents of the ranch horse. They think of it as a revival of the all-around Quarter Horse.

Jay is the President of the NVRHA and welcomes hearing from anyone who might have a question or suggestion.
