NVRHA Rules and Regulations
Scoring Explained
The scoring of schooling competitions is the basis for the entire NVRHA program and is dedicated to education and maximum feedback for the participants. This system is what sets us apart from your typical “show”. It is our goal to provide as much information as possible to assist you with reaching your goals. To that end, all scores are double checked before they are sent into Nationals and posted on the National website. Although we are always striving toward perfection, our volunteers still make mistakes sometimes. At the end of the day, we provide you with copies of your score sheets. Please check your scores as soon as possible and report any errors by Wednesday following the event, to the Event Manager or at [email protected]. Scores are considered final and reported to NVRHA on Thursday following the event.
Northern Lights regional awards are simply computed by adding the total scores from each event. The highest total score wins. You must participate in half the scheduled events in our region to qualify for affiliate year end awards, i.e., if there are 6 events, you must participate in 3 events to qualify. The top three placement point scores from Northern Lights events count toward regional awards with a minimum of three events required to qualify. Two events qualify participants for participation in the National Championships. Only the Northern Lights standings will be posted on the this website.
Nationals uses placement points to calculate the year end placings per division, nationally. These are posted on www.nvrha.org
